Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from South Korea, led by I-jae Jang, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment in Korea, convened a meeting with Mr. Asad Rehman Gilani, Secretary of the Board of Investment (BOI), to explore avenues for augmenting Korean investments in Pakistan.
During the interaction with the delegation, Mr. Asad Rehman Gilani underscored the significance of amplifying foreign investments to address Pakistan's ongoing economic challenges. He highlighted the imperative of attracting increased foreign direct investment from Korea, and affirmed that the BOI is dedicated to facilitating the Korean side in creating a conducive environment for investment.
The BOI is committed to fostering an investor-friendly atmosphere, said the Secretary of BOI. He expressed, "We deeply value the friendship shared between the people and government of Korea and Pakistan. We extend a warm welcome to their active participation in Pakistan's economic landscape." He further reiterated the BOI's responsibility in alleviating the concerns of investors, particularly those from overseas.
Acknowledging the steadfast support rendered by the BOI, I-jae Jang, the Korean Secretary of Environment, pledged to collaborate closely with their Pakistani counterparts to promptly address issues faced by Korean investors. He emphasized that Korean companies are not only injecting investments into Pakistan but also playing a pivotal role in bolstering the nation's economy.
